Announcements

The Board of Directors of the Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce that four persons have been elected for induction into the ORSHOF. Please congratulate:

Aaron Green, Dwayne Horton, Pam Reedy, and Jadon Short.

Induction ceremonies for the Class of 2025 Oak Ridge Sports Hall of Fame will be held on September 19, 2025.

Part 1 of the ceremonies will be held in the lobby just outside of the arena at Oak Ridge High School, beginning promptly at 5 PM.
  • Each inductee will be introduced and will have an opportunity to speak.
  • There are many photo opportunities.
  • Light refreshments will be served.

    Once this part of the ceremony is concluded, we will all head over to Blankenship Field for Part 2 -- the annual ORHS Homecoming game, this year versus Cleveland High School. Game time is 7 PM.
    The new class will be formally inducted during the half-time of the game.

    Aaron Green Aaron Green has developed a program that endeavors to be successful year after year. He not onlyteaches the game to all student-athletes, he developes them into accomplished players. He also has his players involved in community activities. At Oak Ridge, Aaron has a record of 410 winsand 82 loses. A combined record of 563 wins and 154 loses. In his 15 years at ORHS, his teams have either won the regular season or district championship all 15 years.Four region titles, seven state tournaments, two state runner-ups.

    Dwayne Horton Dwayne Horton was a four-sport athlete at ORHS, and lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track and field, earning 9 letters. He was All-state in football, two years. Member of the 1975 state-championship team. Member of the Joe Namath All-America team. Signed to play at the University of Arizona.

    Pam Reedy Pam Reedy is a 1973 graduate of ORHS. She danced professionally with Ashton/Kauchman Productions in Los Angeles, CA. Pam is a dance teacher at the Oak Ridge Academy of Dance from 1975 to present. She coached the original Dance Cats at ORHS from 1988-1994. Pam has been instrumental in forming the current ORHS DanceCats with football and basketball sideline appearances as spirit leaders. She has coached these high school athletes in their pre-college training. Currently, Pam has 12 dancers/athletes on college teams. 10 are from ORHS. She has coached 46 athletes from ORHS who have danced in college--64 total collegiate athletes. Pam has 8 athletes who danced in college who are now in coaching positions. And, she has 4 professional athletes.

    Jadon Short Jadon Short is the current school record holder in 100m dash -10.55, 200m dash 21.52, Long Jump 23ft,3/4in. Triple Jump 46ft,63/4in. He was State Champion for 200m during his senior year 2011. He also ran on our school record 4x100 relay. In 2011, he was selected as the PrepXtra boys track athlete of the year for the Knoxville area. Signed with ETSU.
